FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I meet you first?

OF COURSE! I'd love to schedule a free 10 minute consultation with you to discuss your goals and mutually decide if Clear the Crap is the right fit.

Is this for me?

Are you googling "why am I so overwhelmed?" or "how to get my crap together" or "burned out parent help"? Do your family and friends tease you about your perfectionistic tendencies? Do you joke about signing up for Overthinkers Anonymous?

If you're still functioning but exhausted or successful but stuck, it's time to Clear the Crap.

Who is this not for?

If you're looking for someone to validate every choice or move at a pace that protects old patterns, this likely isn't the right fit.

What will be different at the end of 10 weeks?

You won’t just understand your patterns, you’ll feel the difference in daily life.

  • Freedom from mental clutter.

  • Confidence in your choices.

  • Less guilt and overthinking.

  • Peace in your decision-making.

  • Energy for what truly matters.

Imagine waking up without dreading the day, clear on what matters and confident in how you’ll handle it. In 10 weeks, you won't just see the crap, you’ll Clear the Crap.

What happens when we work together?

We identify what's stuck. We untangle it. We challenge it. Then we build practical next steps and use scaffolding techniques to keep the momentum going. You leave with both insight and clarity.

What do you mean by "crap"?

The mental clutter, the avoidance, the patterns that keep quietly running you into the ground.

Are you going to call me out?

Yep. But respectfully. It's always with your identified growth and goals in mind.

Is this therapy?

No. While I am clinically licensed and trained in trauma-informed practice and forensic interviewing, this space is not therapy and does not replace mental health treatment.

This is coaching focused on clarity, patterns, behavior, and forward movement. We are not diagnosing, treating mental health conditions, or processing trauma in a clinical framework.

However, my clinical background means:

  • I recognize nervous system responses and use approaches from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help you create momentum.

  • We use principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to identify and interrupt patterns.

  • I ask precise, strategic questions grounded in Motivational Interviewing.

  • I know how to hold complex stories safely through a trauma-informed lens.

You get the depth and discernment of a licensed clinician within a 10-week coaching container focused on growth and change.

If it becomes clear that therapy would better support you, I will say so. Coaching and therapy serve different purposes, and part of my role is helping you discern what’s most appropriate.

If it's not therapy, is it confidential?

Yes. Our work is private and handled with discretion.

This isn’t psychotherapy, so it does not carry legal therapist-client privilege. However, your privacy is respected, and what you share is not discussed outside of our work together.

As with any professional service, situations involving risk of harm or legal reporting obligations are exceptions.

Will I have homework?

Sometimes. But this isn't busy work; it's intentional action designed to build momentum between sessions. And don't worry (overthinkers unite!): effort gets a gold star.

How much effort is required?

Meaningful change takes engagement. You don’t have to be perfect, just willing. If you show up curious and open to examining patterns, we’ll create steady progress over the 10 weeks.

Why 10 weeks?

Ten weeks is intentional.

It’s long enough to build trust, identify patterns, and create meaningful change. It gives us time to move beyond surface-level stress and address what’s actually driving burnout or overwhelm.

It’s also contained. This isn’t open-ended therapy or an indefinite commitment. Ten weeks creates momentum and a clear endpoint without dragging the process out.

You get depth without forever.

What happens after 10 weeks? What if I want more support?

The 10-week container is designed to be complete.

We work with purpose from the beginning so that you don’t feel like you need "just a little more time." The goal is clarity, capacity, and forward movement. As we approach the end, we’ll reflect on your progress and next steps.

If you’d like to continue working together due to the trust and rapport we’ve built, we can discuss that. Continued services are considered on a case-by-case basis and depend on clinical appropriateness, current caseload, and availability.

Do you offer payment plans?

Sure do! You can pay in full upfront and save $100 ($1,150 total), or split the program into three equal installments: one at booking, one four weeks later, and one four weeks after that. Choose the option that feels right for you.

Why are sessions virtual?

Because your time matters. A 50-minute session can easily become a two-hour commitment when you factor in commuting and parking. Virtual sessions remove that barrier and make it easier to prioritize yourself consistently. They also allow me to work with clients anywhere without compromising depth.

Each session is private, focused, and distraction-free. Being in your own environment can make it easier to be honest, settle in, and integrate the work more naturally than meeting in an unfamiliar office.

What kind of technology do I need?

Nothing complicated.

We meet on Zoom. You’ll need a reliable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone, and a private space where you won’t be interrupted.

You’ll receive a secure Zoom link. Just click and show up.

What if I need to cancel?

Life happens. And consistency still matters.

When you enroll, your session time is reserved exclusively for you. For example, if you schedule Tuesdays at 10am, that time is yours for the full 10-week container.

Because we need consistency for real change, each client is allowed:

• One pre-requested cancellation during the 10 weeks. That session will be added to the end of your container on the 11th week.
• One pre-requested reschedule during the 10 weeks. The rescheduled session must occur before your next regularly-scheduled session and is limited to available openings on my calendar.

We don’t build change around chaos. Consistency is part of clearing the crap.

Additional cancellations or missed sessions are forfeited. This structure protects your momentum and the integrity of the work.

Still unsure?

That's probably the crap talking. Let's clear it.
